* L / NL note
L = Leafing grades - NL = Non leafing grades. Leafing grades are used for applications requiring maximum metallic brilliance and reflection. Non leafing grades typically are to remain inside the film application and will provide a lower metallic brilliance, reflection.
Origin of aluminium powder
Aluminium powders are made of aluminium metal of high purity of at least 99,7%. All aluminium grades in this section are meant to be used in conventional solvent-based formulations. A predispersion of these grades will be obtained by adding a small quantity of solvent and by mixing with a slow rotation mixer prior to adding the binder / varnish and other components.
